Yes. The Free plan is genuinely free forever, and you can build and share a diagram without even creating an account — just hit “Try it now”.
Your diagrams are never deleted. On a personal account, going over the Free limit of 3 makes the older ones read-only until you delete some or upgrade again — you keep access to everything. A team's library closes while the subscription is inactive, and reopens untouched as soon as it's active again.
Free covers everything you need to build and share a single flow — components, walkthroughs, public links, and embeds. Pro removes the diagram limit and adds three things: export as PNG & SVG, full-screen presentation mode, and comments on the links you share, so people can give you feedback without an account.
You could — plenty of teams start that way. What a shared login can't do is tell you who did what. On Team, every diagram shows who created it and who changed it last, comments come from real accounts instead of a typed-in name, and each person has their own login rather than a password in a group chat. And when someone leaves, their work stays with the company and their access doesn't.
They move into the team's library, where everyone you invite can open and edit them — including your folders. Nothing is deleted and nothing changes for you, but it does mean colleagues can see work that was previously private, so we ask you to confirm before it happens. It can't be undone.
Anyone who doesn't already have a Flostep account. Each account belongs to one workspace for its whole life, so an invitation can only be accepted by a new account created from it. If a colleague already signed up on their own — say they tried Flostep before you did — invite them at an address they haven't used, or have them delete that account first. We'll tell you straight away if an address can't be invited.
An admin removes them, and their access ends immediately. Everything they made stays in the team's library — shown as created by a former member, since removing someone deletes their Flostep account. That's deliberate: it frees up their email address, so if they come back you can simply invite them again. Their seat frees up straight away too.
Yes. Upgrade the moment you need it, and cancel whenever you like — you keep the plan until the end of the period you've already paid for. No lock-in, no cancellation fees. After that a personal account returns to Free, and a team's shared library closes until someone subscribes again. Either way nothing is deleted: your diagrams, folders and comments are exactly as you left them when you come back.
All major credit and debit cards — processed securely via Razorpay. Billing is monthly, in US dollars. Setting up a subscription charges a small refundable amount to verify your payment method; Razorpay returns it automatically.
